Championship contenders take over 'NASCAR 25' cover art

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- NASCAR and iRacing Studios have revealed the cover art for the upcoming "NASCAR 25" video game. This design features a trio of championship contenders.

NASCAR pulled the sheet off of the cover on Saturday at Daytona International Speedway and revealed that regular-season champion William Byron is the centerpiece of the "NASCAR 25" cover. 2023 champion Ryan Blaney is on his left while 12-time Cup winner Christopher Bell is on Byron's right.

The suites and grandstands of Daytona International Speedway serve as the backdrop of this video game cover art. The design also includes the No. 24 Axalta Chevrolet, the No. 12 Menards Ford, and the No. 20 DeWalt Toyota.

"I just remember being a kid and going every single year when the new games would come out, and I'd wait to see who was going to be on the cover," Bell said in a press release.

"The fact that I'm on the cover is something that I never would have dreamed of in a million years."

This cover art reveal continues a string of announcements from iRacing. The developer also released the full rosters for the ARCA Menards Series, Craftsman Truck Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series, and NASCAR Cup Series.

It then provided a look at some in-game screenshots featuring Charlotte Motor Speedway, Texas Motor Speedway, and Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Other screenshots revealed that the game features more than racing. Players will have the opportunity to manage operations while deciding whether to build rep by doing charity work or build the team by helping out in the shop.

One other significant announcement focused on the music of the video game. This soundtrack, which Dale Earnhardt Jr. helped curate, features 25 songs. Yes, the mandatory "Flirtin' with Disaster" by Molly Hatchet landed on the list.

The "NASCAR 25" soundtrack also features selections from System of a Down, The Dangerous Summer, Killer Mike, Chevelle, Parker McCollum, Jelly Roll, The Cadillac Three, Breaking Benjamin, Whiskey Myers, and Greg Upchurch among others.

"NASCAR 25" will become available for consumers on Oct. 14. It will first land on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S before heading to PC via Steam at a later date.
