Prime Video set for feature-length documentary on Kyle Larson

Hendrick Motorsports driver Kyle Larson is set to be the focal point of a feature-length documentary from Prime Video.

According to an announcement, Prime Video will highlight Larson attempting to complete The Double. This feat requires completing all 500 miles of the Indianapolis 500 and all 600 miles of the Coca-Cola 600 in the same day.

Filming for the documentary actually began back in October 2023. It continued last season as Larson won Rookie of the Year in the Indy 500. Rain disrupted his attempt at The Double as he failed to make it to Charlotte Motor Speedway in time for the start of the Coca-Cola 600.

Filming will continue this season as Larson becomes only the third driver in history to attempt The Double multiple times. He follows Tony Stewart and Robby Gordon.

"Kyle's double attempt is one of the most exciting storylines in all of sports, and we're thrilled to be part of it," said Stacey Rosenson, Head of U.S. Sports Marketing, Prime Video.

"As we prepare to broadcast our first NASCAR Cup Series race with the Coca-Cola 600, having this kind of historic moment unfold live on Prime Video - and capturing it in a documentary film - is a truly unique opportunity. We're looking forward to sponsoring Kyle's effort and taking fans inside the intensity and emotion that go with it."

Along with creating the documentary, the streamer has joined Larson as a sponsor for his second attempt at The Double. Prime Video will be a presenting sponsor of the No. 17 entry fielded by the Arrow McLaren IndyCar team and the No. 5 entry fielded by Hendrick Motorsports.

Hendrick Motorsports and Arrow McLaren will reveal the liveries for both entries on Wednesday, April 2. The HendrickCars.com website will have exclusive coverage.

The No. 17 Arrow McLaren entry will take on Indianapolis Motor Speedway on April 23-24 for the Indianapolis 500 open test. Indianapolis 500 qualifying begins on May 17, and then the big event's weekend begins with Carb Day on May 24.

"Last year gave us a great foundation, and now we get to build on it," Larson said. "I'm excited to come back stronger in 2025 and give it everything we've got to finish all 1,100 miles.

"Having Prime Video on board - especially with them streaming the 600 and documenting my whole experience - is pretty special. May is going to be a crazy month, and I'm ready to get after it."
