William Byron will lead the Cup Series field to the green flag Sunday afternoon at Phoenix Raceway (3:30 p.m. ET on FS1) after winning the pole.
The Hendrick Motorsports driver won the pole Saturday afternoon with a lap of 26.930 seconds. This is his first pole win of the season but the 14th of his career. Byron also won the pole for the 2023 championship race at Phoenix.
Joey Logano qualified second with a lap of 27.028 seconds. This is his 22nd top-10 start at Phoenix in 33 career Cup Series starts. Carson Hocevar (27.043 seconds), Josh Berry (27.088), and Erik Jones (27.091) rounded out the top five.

Logano had the fastest time on the board for the majority of the qualifying session. It appeared that he would win the pole, but Byron went out last and took the top spot in the starting order.
"I told Paul (Wolfe) just a second ago that it was going to really suck if the last car beat us and that is what happened," Logano said after qualifying. "Obviously, a real fast lap we ran there, and overall, it is a really good starting spot.
"We will tune her in a little bit. We have a little bit of work to do in race trim, but I don't think we are that bad by any means. We started second and won last time, so we will just have to go do it again."
The rest of the top 10 included Chase Elliott (27.099), Michael McDowell (27.099), Justin Haley (27.111), Tyler Reddick (27.113), and Denny Hamlin (27.150).
Saturday's qualifying session marked the first time in Spire Motorsports history that all three of its cars qualified inside the top eight. Hocevar, in particular, has qualified inside the top five in two consecutive races.
The Cup Series race at Phoenix will take place at 3:30 p.m. ET on Sunday. FS1 will provide coverage with Mike Joy, Clint Bowyer, and Kevin Harvick in the booth.
