The time has come for NASCAR to return to California. Two of the national series will head to Sonoma Raceway for another week of road course racing.
The Xfinity Series teams will take on the California road course on Friday and Saturday. The Cup Series teams will get time on track on Saturday and Sunday. The ARCA Menards Series West teams will also be in action for a Friday afternoon race.
This weekend marks the 36th time that Cup teams have competed at Sonoma. It is the third time for Xfinity teams. This is also the first time in NASCAR history that teams will compete at the road course in the month of July. Previous events took place in either May or June.

Friday forecast: The WeatherUnderground forecast calls for mostly sunny skies. A high of 86 degrees and no chance of rain at the start of the ARCA Menards Series West race.
Saturday forecast: The forecast calls for mostly sunny skies throughout the day. A high of 78 degrees and no chance of rain at the start of the Xfinity Series race.
Sunday forecast: The forecast calls for partly cloudy skies throughout the day. A high of 74 degrees and no chance of rain at the start of the Cup Series race.
