A major change has occurred at Kansas Speedway after NASCAR disqualified Layne Riggs and the No. 34 team of Front Row Motorsports.
According to NASCAR Communications, the No. 34 Ford F-150 failed post-race inspection at the 1.5-mile track. The team violated Section 14.4.9.A.3 of the NASCAR Rule Book -- "Bed cover material must be strong enough to prevent the cover from deflecting or sagging and must be sealed around the perimeter of all bed panels while the vehicle is in competition."

As a result, Riggs goes from a second-place finish to a 31st-place finish. Carson Hocevar, the winner of the Saturday night race, remains the winner after his No. 7 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado passed inspection.
The disqualification moves William Byron into second place. The Hendrick Motorsports driver has finished no worse than second in two Truck Series starts at Kansas Speedway. He won his debut at the track while driving for Kyle Busch Motorsports in 2016.
The rest of the updated top 10 now includes Corey Heim, Giovanni Ruggiero, Stewart Friesen, Brandon Jones, Jake Garcia, Kaden Honeycutt, Grant Enfinger, and Daniel Hemric.
Another side effect of the Riggs disqualification is the finishing order in the early stages. He originally finished fifth in stage 1 and second in stage 2.
The updated order moved Hemric into fifth in stage 1 while adding another stage point to his total. Connor Mosack moved into 10th and gained a stage point. Similarly, Jones earned a stage point for the No. 1 team on the owners side by moving into 10th in stage 2.
Enfinger moved into second place in stage 2. His third-place finish in stage 1 brought his total to 17 stage points.
The disqualification means that Riggs is now only two spots above the playoff cutline. He had moved to sixth in the standings after a points-heavy day and a second-place finish. The disqualification drops him to ninth in the standings. He is only three points ahead of two-time Truck Series champion Ben Rhodes.
