As stage one of the Daytona 500 came to a close, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Ryan Blaney were battling hard for position. Stenhouse got loose and looked destined to smack the wall hard and start off the big one. Somehow though he saved it. The Big One was on, and the result, among the wreckage, was Jimmie Johnson's car trashed and in flames. It was the third time in the week that he

Alex Bowman would win the stage, but the story of stage one is that and Erik Jones, Ty Dillon, Daniel Suarez and Jimmie Johnson won't be around for the finish.
