A NASCAR driver reacts after being taken out at the end of what could have been his first win

Without a cup series race, NASCAR fans had no choice but to watch the Johnsonville 180 NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Road America to get their racing fix. It did not disappoint.

After qualifying was cancelled due to good weather (Seriously), the road course race had plenty of drama culminating with a thrilling finish.

With just over a lap to go, Jeremy Clements in the number 51 car was pushing Matt Tifft in the 19 for the lead. Closing in on the final lap, Clements dove to the inside to try to take the lead and touched Tifft's car and both spun. Both cars scrambled to get back on track as the field closed in.

Clements would go on to win, and apologize for taking out Tifft. But that apology didn't quite take the sting away from being taken out less than two laps away from what would have been Tifft's first ever win in the Xfinity series.

He was understandably upset, but had calmed down a lot by the time NBC interviewed him. "I wish we could have raced it out," he said doing his best captain obvious impression. He went through a roller coaster of emotion directly after the race, but seemed to be taking the whole situation in stride after having time to calm down.

Hopefully he doesn't have to wait much longer for his first win.
