Rarely in sports does an athlete remain with one team for all, or most of their careers and racing is no different.
Matt Crafton is one of those rarities.
Crafton, now 41, has just re-signed with ThorSport Racing for 2018, the team to which he has been signed for all but one of his years in racing.

With two championships, 14 wins, 13 poles, 96 top fives and 23 top 10 finishes under his belt in the No. 88 truck, team owners Duke and Rhonda Thorson decided to pick up the option for 2018.
"It's been an honor to be with ThorSport Racing," said Crafton to motorsport.com . "I've always said I'd be happy to stay in the truck series and end my career in the truck series because it's just awesome racing. I truly, truly love it here and with the owners I have, you could never ask for better owners. I've worked around and seen a lot of owners come and go, but Duke and Rhonda have always been a man and woman of their words."
In an era with a steady stream of sponsorship woes, Crafton has had the support of Menards since 2002. The only exception -- 2004 season, when Crafton raced for Kevin Harvick, his lone season away from ThorSport.
"Menards, as a whole, has been such a strong supporter of Motorsports - from NASCAR to IndyCar," Crafton said. "This is the 15th year that I've had them on my truck. They've been amazing. They're amazing people. I've become really good friends with Paul and John Menard."
