Kyle Larson took care of business Saturday afternoon at Texas Motor Speedway by winning in double overtime.
Larson, who stepped in for an injured Connor Zilisch, took advantage of fresh tires and a strong restart to pass leader Sam Mayer during the second attempt at overtime. He then put distance between himself and the rest of the drivers, who kept battling for position.

Mayer faded to fifth after leading the field to the green flag. Taylor Gray worked his way to a career-best second-place finish over the hectic final laps while Riley Herbst moved into third place. Austin Hill delivered a fourth-place finish.

The rest of the top 10 included Harrison Burton, Jesse Love, Ryan Sieg, Brandon Jones, and Jeb Burton. This 10th-place finish was significant for Jeb, considering that he has now posted three consecutive top-10 finishes for the first time since the 2021 season when he drove for Kaulig Racing.
Nick Sanchez, who was running inside the top five in overtime, tagged the wall. He fell to 20th before crossing the finish line.
Larson was in charge of the race during the closing laps. He had a lead of more than six seconds, but Corey Day crashed and set up a late sprint to the finish line. Hill then turned Sammy Smith into the outside wall with five laps to go, which sent the race to overtime.
Larson had to work his way back to the front of the pack through these restarts after pitting for fresh tires while other drivers stayed out on the track. He navigated up to second on the overtime restart, and then a Jeremy Clement crash sent the race to double overtime.
While Larson had race-winning equipment in his control, he did not have the dominant car at Texas Motor Speedway. Justin Allgaier was the one who controlled the race early while leading 99 laps and winning the opening stage.
However, Allgaier crashed during the final stage after a collision with Kris Wright, who was off the pace and maneuvering between multiple lanes. The reigning Xfinity Series champion ended the day in 35th place.
Larson has made three starts in the Xfinity Series this season. He won twice -- once for JR Motorsports and once for Hendrick Motorsports. He finished fourth at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
