CONCORD, N.C. -- A multi-car crash in stage 3 at Charlotte Motor Speedway collected multiple Cup Series contenders, including Kyle Larson, Ryan Blaney, and Daniel Suarez.
The incident unfolded on Lap 246. Suarez, Chase Briscoe, and Blaney collided as they ran three-wide. Suarez spun off the nose of Briscoe and slammed into Blaney against the outside wall.
His No. 99 then slid across the track and clipped Justin Haley's No. 7 and sent it spinning. Suarez's car then clipped Larson's No. 5 and sent it spinning through the infield turf. Blaney remained up against the outside wall with sparks flying from under his No. 12.

The Hendrick Motorsports driver, who saw his bid to complete The Double end in an Indy 500 crash, had nowhere to go as the crash unfolded ahead of him. His No. 5 Chevrolet Camaro sustained terminal damage, and he had to climb from the cockpit after taking it to the garage.
This capped off a frustrating day for Larson, who had spun from the lead near the midway point of stage 1. He damaged his No. 5 and had to make several trips down pit road to repair the damage. The incident in stage 3 was the final blow to his damaged car.
Suarez and Blaney also failed to continue in Sunday's Coca-Cola 600. They underwent evaluation at the infield care center before being released.
"It was three-wide and tight getting off the corner," Blaney said after exiting the infield care center. "I thought I was kind of high enough as I could go, and it seems like, I don't know if it was just a big squeeze, a couple of us bounced off each other - just tight off (Turn 4)."
Haley and Briscoe, however, kept racing. Haley fell one lap down while Briscoe actually moved into the top 10 for the first time since receiving an uncontrolled tire penalty in stage 1.
