JP Motorsports announced it will field a second car in the Xfinity Series in 2018, and they selected 22-year-old driver Josh Bilicki to pilot the car this season.

Bilicki will drive the No. 45 Toyota, and he will compete for the team alongside Stephen Liecht in the No. 55 car, according to NBC Sports.

Bilicki has raced in nine Xfinity races over the last two years, and he said in a statement that he gained plenty of experience and is ready to compete full-time.

"I'm ecstatic to announce a full season effort in the NASCAR Xfinity Series with JP Motorsports in the #45 Prevagen Toyota Camry," Bilicki said.  "I have gained a lot of valuable experience over the past two years by racing at different tracks and with different teams, but it will be nice to show up to every race this year with the same team.

"I come from a road course racing background, so there are still several NASCAR tracks that I have yet to race. It feels great to have the business side of things done before the season starts, so now I can focus solely on driving. It will be a year full of learning, but we have good equipment and cars and will be competitive from the start."

Bilicki's best finish was 12th at Road America in 2017.

Belicki has plenty of experience on road courses, so he will likely find most of his success at those tracks during the 2018 season. But the experience he gains elsewhere will be especially valuable as he moves forward in his career.
