Josh Bilicki joins winning team for new NASCAR races

Josh Bilicki has expanded his racing schedule. He will join a winning Craftsman Truck Series team for multiple races, including new additions for the 2025 season.

According to a press release, Bilicki will take over the No. 44 Chevrolet Silverado for two upcoming road course races. The first will be the inaugural Truck Series race at Lime Rock Park on June 28. He will aim to show his road course prowess while making left- and right-hand turns.

Additionally, Bilicki will drive the No. 44 Chevrolet during the inaugural Truck Series race at the Charlotte Roval. This part oval/part road course is familiar to Xfinity Series and Cup Series teams, but it will be brand new for Truck Series competitors this season.

Trim-Tex Drywall Solutions will serve as Bilicki's primary partner for the upcoming Truck Series races, his first since the 2023 season.

"I'm excited to join Niece Motorsports and feel like this is a great opportunity for all of us," Bilicki said in a press release. "I haven't raced in the Truck Series in a few years now, and the starts I made were for a really small team, so I'm excited to race for a team capable of racing for the win.

"That's a goal of mine, and every year, I want to be in equipment that I feel can win. This is an opportunity that we could capitalize on, and I wouldn't be surprised if we fought for the win in both races."

Bilicki has 11 career Truck Series starts, all with smaller organizations. His best finish was 18th at Kansas Speedway in 2019 while driving for Reaume Brothers Racing.

The Wisconsin native has primarily spent his time competing in the Xfinity and Cup Series. He has 219 combined starts across the two series, including 11 this season. His best finishes in Xfinity were eight-place finishes at Road America and the Charlotte Roval with DGM Racing, and Joe Gibbs Racing, respectively.

Bilicki is the fifth driver to control the No. 44 Chevrolet this season. He follows Bayley Currey, Ross Chastain, Matthew Gould, and Conner Jones. Chastain's runner-up finish at Charlotte Motor Speedway is this season's best finish for the entry.

"We are thrilled to welcome a talent like Josh Bilicki to our team for Lime Rock and Charlotte," said Cody Efaw, CEO of Niece Motorsports. "His feedback will be invaluable as we try to improve our road course program across the board, as we know he will put in a ton of effort to get the most out of his truck.

"The No. 44 team has improved significantly this year, and I think rotating these different drivers keeps ideas flowing for us to be successful on a weekly basis. I look forward to seeing what he can do in our equipment."
