Joey Logano will kick off the Talladega Superspeedway weekend by joining a prestigious list. He will be inducted into the Talladega Walk of Fame at Davey Allison Memorial Park.
NASCAR's largest track announced the news Friday afternoon as teams descended upon a rainy Bristol Motor Speedway. According to a press release, Logano's induction ceremony will take place on Friday, April 25, at 5:30 p.m. ET.
"Joey is no stranger to visiting victory lane at Talladega, and his continued success has earned him a well-deserved spot among NASCAR's greatest in the Talladega Walk of Fame," said Brian Crichton, Talladega Superspeedway President, in a press release.
"Joey is a remarkable talent for our sport, and his passion and dedication to racing will continue to be on full display for years to come."
The three-time Cup Series champion has achieved success at the 2.66-mile track during his career. He has visited victory lane three times -- 2015, 2016, 2018 -- and has posted 11 top-10 finishes in 32 career starts there.
Created in 1994, the Talladega Walk of Fame at Davey Allison Memorial Park has showcased dozens of NASCAR's biggest names through plaques created in their honor.
Induction ceremonies took place until 2013 before a hiatus lasting several years. These ceremonies ultimately returned in 2022 as Clint Bowyer and Ken Allen Sr. were the latest drivers to receive the honor.
Some of the inductees include Dale Earnhardt, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Ernie Irvan, Dale Jarrett, Bill Elliott, Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, Mark Martin, Darrell Waltrip, Kevin Harvick, Matt Kenseth, Bobby Labonte, Richard Petty, Cale Yarborough, Buddy Baker, David Pearson, Harry Gant, Terry Labonte, and Brad Keselowski.
Logano is the second member of Team Penske to be inducted into the Talladega Walk of Fame in recent seasons. Ryan Blaney, another three-time winner at the Alabama track, was inducted during the 2023 ceremonies. This is the same season he won the playoff race at the track and put himself into the Round of 8.
