How to watch Kansas Truck race: Start time, TV info, schedule


A busy Saturday at Kansas Speedway features two national NASCAR series getting on track.

The Craftsman Truck Series teams will practice, qualify, and race at the 1.5-mile track while the Cup Series teams will practice and qualify for Sunday's Cup Series race.

This weekend marks the 30th time that the Truck Series has competed at Kansas Speedway. Corey Heim swept the two races there last season. He will go for his third win while trying to maintain his lead in the regular-season standings.

Truck Series race at Kansas Speedway info

Weather: The WeatherUnderground forecast calls for sunny skies throughout the day, a high of 83 degrees, and no chance of rain at the start of the Truck Series race.

Green flag time: The command to fire engines will be at 7:41 p.m. ET. The green flag will wave at 7:52 p.m. ET.

Starting lineup: Practice and qualifying coverage begins on FS2 at 2:05 p.m. ET.

Pre-race: The Truck Series garage opens at 12:30 p.m. ET. Driver introductions will take place at 7:10 p.m. ET.  Race coverage begins on FS1 at 7:30 p.m. ET.

The invocation will take place at 7:33 p.m. ET. The national anthem will be performed at 7:34 p.m. ET.

Stages: The race will consist of three stages. The first stage ends at Lap 30. The second stage ends at Lap 60. The scheduled end of the race is Lap 134.

Past winners: Multiple drivers on this weekend's entry list have celebrated Truck wins at Kansas Speedway. Three-time champion Matt Crafton has three Kansas wins while Corey Heim has two. Grant Enfinger and William Byron have one Kansas win each.

Playoff picture: Four Truck Series drivers have secure spots in the playoffs after celebrating in victory lane. Heim has three wins and the points lead. Tyler Ankrum, Daniel Hemric, and Chandler Smith have one win each.

Two-time champion Ben Rhodes is the final driver above the playoff cutline with 215 points. He leads Stewart Friesen by 11 points.
