A member of a legendary racing family wants to see Danica Patrick on the track

Danica Patrick is working on getting a sponsor for 2018, but if one member of a legendary racing family has it way, she'll make a return to his roots.

Graham Rahal, son of Indy 500 winner Bobby Rahal, said he'd love to have Patrick return to IndyCar.

"Danica, I would consider a great friend of our family," Graham Rahal said in remarks reported by Motorsports.com. "She certainly was a big part of the history of our program years and years ago.

"It would always be great to have her back to drive at Indy. But really that's completely up to her and the decisions that she makes.

Patrick has said that it's NASCAR or bust in 2018, but she opened the door to other opportunities with a "never say never" quote.

While she may have her qualms, her fans just want to she her on the track.
