Frankie Muniz out for multiple weeks after home accident

Frankie Muniz will miss Saturday's race at Darlington Raceway, as well as multiple other events, after an accident at his home in Arizona.

Reaume Brothers Racing issued a statement on Thursday and said that Muniz had suffered a distal radius fracture on his wrist. The team said that they didn't have a timeline for Muniz's return and that Mason Maggio will replace him in the No. 33 for the trip to Darlington Raceway.

"The phrase 'FML' (Frankie Muniz's Life) takes on new meaning with moments like these," Muniz posted on X on Thursday. "I'm disappointed to share that I won't be racing at Darlington this weekend or for the next few weeks due to a distal radius fracture. Yesterday, I fell from the top of a ladder while changing the batteries in a Ring camera in my backyard.

"Note to self: heed the ladder warning that says, 'Do not sit or stand on top step.' In hindsight, a taller ladder would've been smarter. While I'm gutted to miss the races, I'm grateful it wasn't worse.

"I feel for my team, who've poured their hearts into this season, and I'm thankful for (Ford Performance) and their unwavering support. The doctor estimates a 6-8 week recovery, so I'll be back in the driver's seat as soon as I'm cleared."

The Arizona native joined Reaume Brothers Racing for the full 2025 schedule after making for Truck Series starts last season. He kicked off the partnership with a 10th-place finish at Daytona International Speedway but has since posted six DNFs due to crashes and a variety of mechanical issues.

The February race at EchoPark Speedway featured Muniz racing his way to 11th in the final stage before slamming into the outside wall. Contact with the truck behind Muniz played a role in his truck veering to the right at full speed.

Maggio has made 23 starts at the Truck level, primarily with Reaume Brothers Racing. He has three top-20 finishes -- one at Nashville Superspeedway, one at Talladega Superspeedway, and one at Daytona International Speedway.
