HAMPTON, Ga. -- Frankie Muniz was frustrated with his fellow competitors Saturday afternoon after a wreck at Atlanta Motor Speedway took away an opportunity for his second consecutive top-10 finish.
"I definitely don't get respect out there," Muniz told media members after exiting the infield care center. "100%. Nobody goes with me."
The incident occurred during the final stage of Saturday's Truck Series race, which Kyle Busch won. Muniz was racing next to Daniel Hemric when he suddenly veered to the right and slammed hard into the outside wall. Pole-sitter Connor Mosack immediately slammed into the outside wall right behind Muniz.
The race remained green for the moment as Mosack made his way to his pit stall. Muniz remained on the track, but he ultimately brought out the caution after spinning on the apron and leaving debris on the track.

"I think somebody put me three wide, pushed me into the car that was on my outside," Muniz continued. "We were out. I think we were close to the top 10, which is a great showing for my team. I don't think anyone expects us to run there, so the fact that we were there on merit -- no lucky breaks. We raced our way up there."
Muniz drives for Reaume Brothers Racing, a small team that has been in the Truck Series since 2018. RBR has featured numerous drivers over the years that combined for four top-10 finishes.
Muniz delivered the fifth at the start of this season, his first as a full-time Truck Series driver. He qualified 14th at Daytona International Speedway and kept his truck clean throughout the season-opening race. He crossed the finish line 10th for a career-best finish.
The actor-driver was in a position to match this total Saturday at Atlanta Motor Speedway. He raced his way to 11th place in the final stage. However, the afternoon went awry after the late collision with the wall and a tow back to the garage.
