Fox Sports has unveiled its broadcast lineup ahead of its inaugural season providing NTT IndyCar Series coverage. The booth features two returning figures and a new play-by-play man.
According to the press release, veteran broadcaster Will Buxton will take over play-by-play for the entire NTT IndyCar Series season. He will replace Leigh Diffey, who remains at NBC Sports to provide coverage of NASCAR Cup Series races.
Buxton will have James Hinchcliffe and Townsend Bell along for the NTT IndyCar Series season as they serve as analysts. Hinchliffe and Bell have considerable experience working together to call IndyCar races for NBC Sports.
"I'm super excited to be part of the FOX Sports team heading into the 2025 season," Hinchcliffe said in a statement.
"Fox Sports comes in with huge goals of growing the sport, something I'm incredibly passionate about. It's fantastic to be reunited with Townsend, and it's a massive win for the sport to bring in Will Buxton."

Buxton is a new member of the IndyCar Series broadcast lineup, but he has considerable experience calling open-wheel races. He began his broadcasting career as a SPEED Channel pit reporter in 2010. He provided updates during the channel's Formula One coverage.
Buxton continued providing F1 coverage in 2013 as the rights transferred to NBC Sports. He remained in this role through 2017 while also adding in IndyCar pit reporter duties.
Buxton then joined Liberty Media in 2018 after the company acquired the top racing series. He took on an expanded role that featured time as a lead presenter, pit reporter, analyst, and lead announcer. He also became a prominent part of the Netflix series, "Drive to Survive."
This new broadcast lineup will make its official debut with the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg on Sunday, March 2, at noon ET. It will continue to provide coverage for the full 17-race season as every race airs on Fox. IndyCar's new partner will provide more updates about its broadcast lineup, specifically the pit reporters, in the future.
