The Daytona 500 is not just a race, it is a spectacle. It’s both the start of the season and the biggest race of the year. NASCAR’s Super Bowl equivalent doesn’t occur at the end of a long season of racing, it is a celebration that those hard months without racing are finally over. Fox’s first commercial advertising the event hints at the spectacle coming our way on February 18th.
The flyovers, the wrecks, the celebrations and the history are all briefly shown in the 30 second spot. If a 30 second spot can get us this pumped up, what is going to happen on race day? We can’t wait.
