Fox Sports has majorly expanded its broadcast lineup as it prepares to provide 60 hours of coverage for the 109th Running of the Indianapolis 500. The additions include Danica Patrick and Tony Stewart, two veterans of the prestigious event.
According to a press release, the veterans of the NTT IndyCar Series and NASCAR will join Fox Sports' Chris Myers for the pre-race coverage, which begins at 10 a.m. ET on Fox.
This is a fitting duo considering that Patrick finished third in the 2009 Indy 500 while setting a record for female drivers. Stewart won the 1996 Indy 500 Rookie of the Year after starting from the pole and leading 44 laps. Stewart also won the 1997 IndyCar championship.
The pre-race coverage will also include 17-time Emmy winner Tom Rinaldi, who will provide feature interviews. Erin Andrews, a prominent member of the Fox Sports NFL team, will have an in-depth interview with two-time Indy 500 winner Josef Newgarden.
Veteran Fox Sports pit reporter Jamie Little, who makes her return to the Indy 500 after more than a decade, will have a sit-down interview with Kyle Larson as he attempts to complete The Double -- the Indy 500 and the Coca-Cola 600 on the same day.

Little will be one of the pit reporters providing updates during the prestigious event. She will join Kevin Lee and Georgia Henneberry on pit road. Fox Sports IndyCar reporter Jack Harvey will provide updates from behind the wheel as he attempts to make the race.
The booth will feature Fox IndyCar play-by-play announcer Will Buxton, nine-time Indianapolis 500 entrant James Hinchcliffe, and 10-time Indy 500 racer Townsend Bell. The Fox Deportes coverage will feature Tony Rivera on play-by-play with Emmy Award-winner Jessi Losada and former IndyCar driver Oriol Servia as analysts. Giselle Zarur will be the pit reporter.
The list of dignitaries continues with Michael Strahan, who will drive the pace car, and Tom Brady, who will join Jimmie Johnson in the two-seat race car for the "Fastest Seat in Sports." Rob Gronkowski will head to the infamous infield Snake Pit, where he will serve as the grand marshal.
Of course, the race broadcast is only a part of Fox Sports' plans for the Indy 500. The company will have other sports figures providing content in the week leading up to the Indy 500. For example, FS1's "First Things First" will be on-site at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Nick Wright, Chris Broussard, and Kevin Wildes will have an iconic backdrop as they discuss the biggest topics in sports.
