Since announcing her plans to run the Daytona 500 and Indy 500 last November Danica Patrick has been unable to secure rides for either race.
That could be changing in the near future. And while there is nothing finalized in terms of a deal, something could be in the very near future. Adam Stern of the Sports Business Journal took to Twitter to share that sources close to Patrick said an announcement on Patrick's racing future could be coming in the next few days.
No comment available from @DanicaPatrick's camp right now, but people close to it have said in recent days that she could be closing in on making a Daytona or Indy 500-related announcement in the coming days. pic.twitter.com/PLuWutZ4R3

Over the past few months there have been numerous teams that have had talks with Patrick --- of those Chip Ganassi Racing comes to mind. CGR is one of the only teams to run cars in both NASCAR and IndyCar, but the talks have since come to an end between the two sides.
Schmidt Peterson Motorsports had a spot open up in one of their Indy cars but said Patrick running it for the Indy 500 isn't an option because it would be a distraction according to team co-owner Sam Schmidt.
The Daytona 500 is just over a month away, so hopefully she figures something out soon. As far as Indy goes, the race isn't until May so she has a little more time to figure things out.
