This is where we could see Danica Patrick in the very near future

A few months ago Danica Patrick announced she would no longer drive the No. 10 for Stewart-Haas Racing.

The move wasn't made because Patrick was ready to step down from stock car racing.  Almost immediately after Patrick announced the fate of her future, she made it clear that she'd like to run two more races in 2018 -- the Daytona 500 and the Indy 500.

Patrick has yet to secure rides for either of those races, but is holding on to hope that things will fall into place over the next few months.

In the meantime, she's giving folks a glimpse of what retired life will look like. Last week, she posted a screenshot of a USA Today story that showcased her new book as a must read. This time around, the people over at For The Win, a USA Today publication, have shared that Patrick talked about many future aspirations now that her racing career seems to be nearing its final laps..

"I'd also like to have a cooking show, to help people learn how to cook healthily," she said. From the looks of some her Instagram posts, she may be on to something.

Some of these recipes are highlighted in the new book, Pretty Intense, which hit shelves yesterday.

But how amazing would it be if Patrick were able to secure the ride and the sponsors she'd need to go out in a blaze of glory. To open the season up at Daytona and see Patrick in the field, would be a dream come true for many. But until then we'll have to just wait and see if the eight-year NASCAR veteran will get another shot.
