Chris Buescher has agreed to a multi-year contract extension to remain with JTG Daugherty Racing for at least the next two seasons.

Buescher, 24, will continue driving the No. 37 Chevrolet for the team, which currently sponsors two drivers.

Buescher is 25th in the standings, and teammate AJ Allmendinger is right behind him at No. 26.

"We built our team from the ground up this season, and I'm really thankful to be able to continue that in the 2018 season and beyond," Buescher said. "We have so many great partners onboard this season, and I'm really looking forward to building upon that."

JTG Daugherty Racing leased a one-year charter from Roush Fenway so Buescher could race this season, and they will need to find another charter for the 2018 season.

Buescher has three top-10s this season, and his best finish of the year was last week's sixth-place finish at Michigan. He has one win in his career, which came during the 2016 season at Pocono.
