Chase Briscoe takes on WWE Raw to promote NASCAR

Chase Briscoe spent his Monday night in Las Vegas, Nevada, promoting an upcoming NASCAR documentary series by making a special appearance at a big event.

The Joe Gibbs Racing driver sat ringside during an "WWE Raw" episode that aired live on Netflix. The broadcast highlighted him and the fact that "Full Speed: Season 2" will soon land on the streamer.

"How about Chase Briscoe?" broadcaster Pat McAfee asked. "'Full Speed' streaming on Netflix May 7. Documenting the lives of some NASCAR drivers, like Chase Briscoe, who's rubbing and racing on Netflix May 7."

As the trailer for "Full Speed: Season 2" showed, Briscoe will play a role in the Netflix documentary series. He will be under the spotlight as the show revisits his Southern 500 win that secured a spot in the playoffs.

The trailer also showed that the Briscoe family expanding with twins will be one of the storylines.

Interestingly, the appearance on "WWE Raw" is not the only crossover between NASCAR and professional wrestling this week. Another driver took in some matches while mostly flying under the radar.

2021 Cup Series champion Kyle Larson and his family were in the crowd on Sunday night during "WrestleMania." The cameras did not focus on them, but eagle-eyed racing fans spotted the Larsons in the background of a shot highlighting another attendee.

This season's crossovers actually began way back in February after a crown jewel race. Two-time Daytona 500 winner William Byron made an appearance on "Monday Night Raw" as part of a whirlwind victory tour.

Unlike Briscoe and Larson, however, Byron did not simply sit in the crowd and take in the show. He used a two-seat version of his No. 24 Hendrick Motorsports Axalta Chevrolet to drive wrestler AJ Styles into the arena.

Byron then climbed out of the car and carried a WWE championship belt for the walk into the wrestling event. He wore a Daytona 500 champion jacket to add some extra flair.
