The checkered flag has waved at Pocono Raceway, which means Prime Video's portion of the NASCAR Cup Series season is complete. Now, it's time for TNT Sports to make its return to the top level of stock car racing.
With Cup Series coverage moving to a new network, it's important to highlight the big changes. Specifically, Where can fans tune in for practice, qualifying, studio shows, and races?
TV/Streaming coverage: TNT Sports will utilize multiple platforms over the next five weeks, starting on Friday, June 27. For example, practice and qualifying will air on truTV. It will also stream on Max.
TNT will broadcast the Cup Series races while truTV will air an alternative broadcast focused on the $1 million in-season tournament. Sports on Max will also stream the altcast.
Additionally, the next five races will be available on Sports on Max (subscription required). This includes all pre-race and post-race coverage at EchoPark Speedway, Chicago, Sonoma Raceway, Dover Motor Speedway, and Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The exclusive in-car cameras and radio chatter will continue to be available to Sports on Max subscribers.
Broadcast booth: The TNT booth will feature some familiar faces. Adam Alexander will lead play-by-play coverage while continuing the role he held with Prime Video and CW (Xfinity Series). Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Steve Letarte will continue to work alongside Alexander as booth analysts.
The truTV altcast will feature former crew chief-turned-Fox Sports analyst Larry McReynolds and former driver-turned-NBC Sports analyst Jeff Burton. They will highlight the biggest matchups of the in-season tournament during each of the five races.
Pit reporters: The TNT Sports coverage will feature some proven veterans on pit road, who will work to provide timely updates throughout each race. This group includes Marty Snider, Danielle Trotta, and Alan Cavanna.
Snider is a veteran of pit road, who has worked with both Prime Video and NBC Sports. Cavanna, who previously spent time with NASCAR and Fox Sports, currently works as a pit reporter for PRN and MRN.
Trotta is a veteran of the industry, who most recently hosted Prime Video's pre-race and post-race studio show. She also co-hosts "On Track" on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
Studio show: Like other NASCAR broadcasters, TNT Sports will have a pre-race and post-race studio show on site highlighting the biggest storylines each week. Shannon Spake will host the "NASCAR Nation" show while Parker Kligerman and Jamie McMurray join her as analysts.
