TNT Sports announces packed NASCAR broadcast lineup

TNT Sports has unveiled its full broadcast lineup ahead of its return to NASCAR Cup Series coverage.

This week's announcement named the reporters who will provide updates throughout the events. Marty Snider, Danielle Trotta, and Alan Cavanna will work pit road while chasing down the biggest stories. Additionally, the "NASCAR Nation" pre- and post-race studio show will feature Shannon Spake, Jamie McMurray, and Parker Kligerman.

TNT Sports, which returned to NASCAR as part of a seven-year deal, previously announced that Adam Alexander, Steve Letarte, and Dale Earnhardt Jr. would take over the booth for five races this summer, starting with July 28's race at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

The announcement also revealed an alternate viewing experience featuring America's Crew Chief, Larry McReynolds, and 21-time Cup Series winner Jeff Burton. These two industry veterans will track the inaugural in-season tournament, which will award $1 million to the winner.

Rounding out the lineup will be NASCAR's Chief Hype Officer Dylan "Mamba" Smith, who will contribute to TNT Sports' coverage and work as a correspondent for B/R Racing.

What is the in-season tournament? It builds upon an idea originally created by Denny Hamlin and pits 32 drivers against each other in a bracket-style tournament. The driver who performs the best throughout the multi-week tournament will lock up some bonus money.

The final three races of the Prime Video schedule (Michigan, Mexico City, Pocono Raceway) will seed the top 32 drivers. They will then face off in head-to-head matchups. The drivers who deliver the best finishes will move on to the next round of the challenge.

The in-season tournament will begin with Atlanta Motor Speedway, the first race on TNT. It will continue with the streets of Chicago, Sonoma Raceway, and Dover Motor Speedway. The final race of the in-season tournament will be the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

All of the TNT Sports races will air on TNT, truTV, and Max. Additionally, practice and qualifying sessions will air exclusively on truTV and Max.
