Bristol gains race with 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series schedule

NASCAR has released the 2025 Xfinity Series schedule, which features a second race at Bristol Motor Speedway.

The Tennessee short track, The Last Great Colosseum, has only hosted one race annually since the 2021 season. This will change in 2025 as Xfinity teams take on Bristol in both the spring and fall. As a result, Darlington Raceway will scale back to only hosting one race next season.

Darlington is not the only track losing a date. Richmond Raceway, Michigan International Speedway, and New Hampshire Motor Speedway will all be absent from the Xfinity Series schedule next season while new tracks join the lineup.

The list of additions includes a previously announced trip to Mexico City in June. Xfinity teams will also return to Rockingham Speedway for the first time since 2004 and World Wide Technology Raceway for the first time since 2010.

One note for the season schedule is that every Xfinity race will air on CW, the free over-the-air channel.

The return to World Wide Technology Raceway will not be a standard regular-season race. Instead, this track outside of St. Louis will host the regular-season finale, the race that sets the 12-driver playoff field. This will be the final opportunity to lock up a spot in the playoffs.

Current Xfinity drivers with experience at WWT Raceway are limited in number. Justin Allgaier and Matt DiBenedetto make up this list midway through the 2024 season. Whether this changes depends on how the rest of Silly Season plays out.
