The much-anticipated pickup version of the new Jeep Wrangler, the Scrambler, goes into production in November of 2018. According to automotive news, the Scrambler can be ordered with an optional soft-top making this a true convertible.

In 2016, Jeep showed a concept pickup called the Crew Chief 715, at the annual Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah. The concept was shown with a convertible top, and it's expected that the Scrambler will barrow many other design and styling cues from this menacing looking truck.

The new "JL" Wrangler will debut later this week at the LA Auto Show, and production will continue at the same plant in Toledo, that currently builds the "JK" generation Wrangler.
