The honey badger needs to take the back seat, because the skunk is the new animal poster-child for not giving a hoot.

Cross Conservation CEO Greg Shyba was driving down a dirt road near Calgary in Alberta, Canada, when he came across a cougar stalking a skunk in the road. The big cat approached the skunk, probably thinking this would end with an easy meal, but the skunk turns and somehow intimidates the cougar enough to scare it off.

The camera later zooms in on the cougar sulking around in the tall grass beside the road. That is, before the skunk decides it hasn’t had enough and launches itself after the cougar again.
