Customer complains about low oil light and weird "rattling" sound

A customer dropped their 2012 VW turbo off at the mechanic complaining about a rattling noise. They also noticed that the low oil light would always stay on, even after adding MULTIPLE QUARTS of oil, which was odd since the car only had 20,000 miles on it. Turns out the bottom of their car looks like a prop from some Aliens v Transformers crossover movie. The customer had to have seen the massive puddle of oil pooling beneath their car, but apparently they missed it. Either way, the mechanic found the problem almost immediately and expects the final cost to be around $8,000 due to additional damage to the subframe and suspension.
