Hurricane Milton will not stop parking lot donuts

With Hurricane Milton hitting Florida, numerous residents evacuated to safer areas while others hunkered down in their homes. One person decided to do some donuts in an empty parking lot.

X user Chris McGovern posted a Wednesday video showing a person flinging their white SUV around a water-covered parking lot. Tracks showed where the SUV had completed donuts.

The video didn't include all of the maneuvers, however, as the driver completed their fourth lap before plowing through the water and exiting the parking lot.

"Florida man is undefeated," one person posted on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. "Dude saw his opportunity for some real-life Grand Tourismo and went for it. Free men don't ask permission."

Numerous others weighed in and expressed a mixture of admiration for and fascination with the fabled "Florida man." To these X users, the simple act of doing donuts as a hurricane approached was nothing too out of the ordinary for residents of the Southeastern state.

"I admit, bro, had pretty good control in that water," another person commented after seeing the video.

Users with jokes were not the only ones who weighed in after watching the video. Others looked at the video and focused on the risks. Some simply pointed out how dangerous doing donuts in a hurricane can be.

Others indicated that this person could pose a danger to the first responders who would have to potentially make rescue attempts if the driver ended up stranded somewhere.

As it turns out, the residents of Florida are not the only ones who take to the streets in the middle of storms. A resident of Minnesota joined the conversation and said that they head to parking lots during snowstorms so they can do donuts in the fresh snow.

Although a hurricane can be considered significantly more dangerous than a snowstorm.
