The previous Guinness World Downhill Skateboard Speed record was held at 81.17mph. Skateboarder Kyle Wester was determined to beat that record. Armed with his specially engineered Santa Cruz skateboard, custom wheels, tape, trucks, and Under Armour speedsuit, with an aerodynamic tail on his back leg, all at an undisclosed location, he obliterated the world's previous record by nearly 8 more miles per hour, bringing the new world record to 89.41 mph. That is blisteringly fast.
