Johnny Sauter received some great news shortly before he was set to race for NASCAR's Camping World Truck Series championship.
His team, GMR Racing, announced it will re-sign Sauter for the 2018 season. The 39-year-old will driver the No. 21 Chevrolet next year in his 10th full-time season in the Truck Series.

Sauter is in his second season with GMR Racing, and he won a title in 2016 in his first year with the team. He's competing for his second straight championship this year at Homestead.
He said in a press release via NBC Sports that he's thankful for GMR Racing for giving him a chance to compete for championships.
"I can't thank the Gallagher family and Mike Beam enough for the opportunity they've given me the last two years," Sauter said. "To be able to compete at this level, where you know you could win any given weekend, is incredible and I'm excited to be able to continue with the No. 21 team next year."
Sauter has 17 wins in his Truck Series career, including four this season.
