In San Francisco, there had been a rise in the armed robbery of tourists. Thieves would stake out known landmark destinations and districts and prey upon out-of-towners. Things were getting so bad, the bandits were making their scores in broad daylight, like you'll see in this video. But the SFPD set up this brilliant sting operation at a known hold-up point and quickly brought the thieves to justice after foiling their attempted crime.
