Car dealerships are bold. They're typically filled with people who aren't afraid to be brash and upfront; mechanics and salesmen are typically type-A personalities. It's usually a good philosophy to avoid pissing anyone off, but it's especially a good idea to avoid annoying people who will strike back.
Two panhandlers, allegedly father and son, must have missed that memo when they posted up outside a car dealership in Brighton, Michigan. The two men set up shop outside Brighton Honda to ask for money from passersby, a pretty innocent activity in itself. Sometimes people need a little bit of help to get by. Except in this case the party in question was definitely taking advantage.
Via Automotive News, the general manager of the dealership, Bert Justice , said that the two panhandlers were offered jobs as porters, paying $10 a hour. Turns out they didn't need the money that bad because they turned it down, saying they made twice as much on the street. Huh.
So, there's a sign now. It's propped up on the hood of a car:

Of course, this whole story is based on the word of the folks of Brighton Honda and a viral story. So, this could all be a lie, and the dealership may just be shaming two men down on their luck. If that's the case, shame on them.
