There's just something mesmerizing about watching a piece of raw lumber, plastic, or metal take shape with the help of a CNC. This 5-axis CNC turns a solid block of aluminum weighing roughly 170 lbs into a perfect full-sized replica motocross helmet. Setting up this project is no easy feat. In the end someone will push a button and walk away, but that doesn't show the hours and hours of coding required to tell the CNC what to do. For those in the know, this is a piece of art.
