If you are new to cars or just in a new city, it can be really hard to get plugged in to the local car scene. A lot of the time, car people can be a bit standoffish, especially if you show up to a muscle car meet in a Scion.

This video gives a few tips on how to get plugged in to the local scene and how to be welcoming to others. Ensuring the community can grow and thrive. Ultimately, most just want to hang out with other car people and talk about things those non-enthusiasts don’t understand. Is that too much to ask?

Even if you want to be “that guy” at the meet, it’s fine. Just be prepared to back up all that talk at the track.
