Do you drive an Audi? BMW? A Volkswagen? Those are among the cars that, according to German media, President Trump has vowed to put an end to.
Reporters from the German news magazine, Der Spiegel, reported Trump's comments:
Wow. "The Germans are bad, very bad", Trump said to EU boss Juncker. "Look at all the cars they're selling in the US.We're gonna stop that." https://t.co/Iwdg3LFy7h

Trump reportedly made the comments in a meeting with the European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and the European Council President Donald Tusk, according to CNBC. Juncker said the reports were exaggerated, and added: "He did not say that the Germans were behaving badly."
Still, the President's stance shouldn't be a surprise. He's made his "American first" pledge a centerpiece of administration, and he has, in the past, threatened to place a 35% tariff on German cars being imported into the US.
