Your morning commute is probably already stressful enough as it is, but can you imagine getting attacked by a wild boar while on your way into the office? You'd probably be tempted to just turn back around and not even bother clocking in. Nothing ruins a day, and probably even a whole year, quite like an impromptu boar attack.
But, one Chinese businessman kept right on with his day, even after a boar showed up basically out of nowhere, charged at the guy full speed, took out his legs, and gored his briefcase a couple times, before both man and beast went their separate ways.
To be honest, I don't have the precise facts and figures in front of me, but I can't imagine that boar attacks are all that common in China. It seems like feral pigs and wild boars would be more at home in forested areas rather than urban areas.
Even if these incidents were common though, I still feel like there's no way you can truly prepare yourself for a ferocious wild boar attack. What are you even supposed to do in that situation? Stop, drop, and roll? Rock back and forth in the fetal position? Recite the Pledge of Allegiance?
It seems like there's really not all that much you can do at all, other than just hope that the boar ends up getting bored before it decides to straight-up trample you to death.
Luckily for the man in the video, the boar that attacked him clearly had places to be and people to see. He had just enough time for a quick sideswiping, and then he was off to a full day of meetings and watering hole gossip. Just another day in the life of a boar.
