Either Carroll Shelby was a filthy liar or the Brits are significantly stronger than anyone in the 1960's. Tea and crumpets are just packed with protein as it turns out.

When trying to sell the Shelby Cobra 427, Shelby bet $100 that passengers wouldn't be able to lean forward and grab a bill off the dashboard while the car was doing a 0-60 run at full power.

Autocar decided to spend their entire budget to bring a few cars down to the track to test the theory. If you are a betting man, and someone offers this wager, you'd do well to take the passenger role, because this only worked one time out of the five attempts they made.
