Colin Furze is a online personality from Britain who is most popular for his garage inventions and setting world records with his crazy inventions.

On October 14, 2010, Furze modified a mobility scooter and set the world record with a speed of 71.59 mph at the Santa Pod Raceway in Northants, UK. He claims its top speed is 82.5 mph, but the distance limitation of the quarter mile meant he couldn't achieve top speed quickly enough.

Stats for the scooter include

a 125cc motocross bike 2stroke engine from a 1997 Honda CR125 which means its got 5 gears and around 25-35 bhp. Now driving this at 82 is quiet an experience as slight steering movements have a big effect because remember the wheel base and chassis layout has not changed much and these things are designed to go at 4 mph and be turned around in supermarkets so all you need to think about is "KEEP STRAIGHT."
