Starting a 100-Year-Old Engine with a Tiger Torch

This beautiful Blackstone Oil Engine was down and out until it was completely cleaned and restored. It was used over 100 years ago to help pump water from a river. Sadly, in the 20s, someone sabotaged it with explosives. It sat partially submerged for several years before being dredged up in the 90s. Someone took the effort to clean it out and re-work the insides.

Now you can see how an engine like this gets started: with a hot bulb, a blow torch and a lot of kerosene!
