When Porsche retooled a specific variant of their 911 Turbos, they had no idea the legend it would leave behind. Affectionately deemed the "Widowmaker" by drivers, the clever and versatile Le Mans-capable supercar was reimagined as a white-knuckle-inducing speed machine. Porsche stripped the base model 96' 993 GT2 of the front portion of its 4WD system, shedded excess weight in the frame and interior, and notched it up a few more horses. The resulting powerhouse was an unforgiving ride to less experienced racers, many of whom crashed the rare car, unprepared for just how significantly different this familiar looking machine had become.
