Meet North Carolina's own "can opener" bridge. Standing at a height of 11 ft. 8 in. the bridge is the undefeated champion when it comes to scalping big rigs. Built more than 100 years ago, the bridge is much lower than anything else in the state. Despite installing a huge digital sign that can detect if a vehicle is too large, many negligent drivers turn their trailers into convertibles each year.
