An Audi pays the price for misjudging a gap

If advocates of autonomous driving are keeping score, they would definitely count this as a point for their team. In this video posted by CrazyWorld, we see the driver of an Audi make a horrible judgement call on passing, or more accurately, cutting off another driver.

Before we see the Audi make its grand entrance into the frame of the camera we are given the view of a normal day in traffic and the sounds of an English learning program on the radio. Right after "How much money do you have?" the Audi comes blazing through, rear ending the car directly in front of him, flipping over the lane to its left and right over the divider into oncoming traffic.  If this wasn't bad enough, the car hits a light pole and burst into flames immediately. The Audi lands on a Ford Edge who takes a minute to process the series of events before moving forward a tad and allowing the Audi to sit back down on all four wheels.
Although the accident could have been deadly, the description of the video states that the people survived but sustained serious injuries.
Considering the gravity of the situation, it's very impressive the Audi held up so well and protected its occupants. No doubt they stay loyal to the brand and buy another Audi after this is all sorted.
