Tree Uprooting Attempt With Truck and Chainsaw Ends in Disaster

This was bound to end pretty badly from the very beginning. With gunshots going off in the background, and an old Chevy truck tied off to a tall tree, something was bound to go wrong. I'm sure you can see where this is headed. This is why it's important to always hire someone who knows what they're doing. I'm not positive if these guys live here, or if they're just working here, but they dug themselves into quite a hole after this.

Now, their plan actually could have possibly worked, had they actually thought things out a little more. With one guy driving the truck, one guy handling the chainsaw, and one supervising, they figured everything would work out exactly how they wanted. They were mistaken, and things quickly go from bad to worse.

The guy working the saw finishes his cuts, and slams the wedges further in. With the rope tied so high on the tree, they figured they would get more leverage to pull it in the right direction. Unfortunately, as the tree begins to tip, you can see the rear truck wheels spinning, because the rope is actually pulling upward on the truck. Of course, the tree decides to fall exactly where they tried to avoid, which was straight onto the nearby house. The tree absolutely crushes the roof and structure of the home, and I could only imagine the looks on these guys faces.

Something tells me that the company didn't receive a very nice review after leaving this job site. With the numerous videos floating around of failed tree cutting, you'd think they'd want to take a little extra precaution. Though, I guess some people have to figure things out on their own. This is very unfortunate for both the company and the homeowner, but I'm glad they have this video to look back on to remember what they did wrong during this very expensive mistake.
