A good old-fashioned vehicle tug of war matchup is a pretty effective way of measuring one vehicle's traction and torque capabilities against another's. Whether it's a Ford F-350 vs. a 454-powered Chevy or a Caterpillar D8 Dozer vs. 20 Toyota Land Cruisers, pride is always on the line with these sorts of competitions.

For this particular match-up brought to us from the guys over at the YouTube channel carwow, we've got a 2019 Mercedes-AMG G63 vs. a 2019 Suzuki Jimny 4x4. Judging from the specs on these cars, which were laid out by The Drive, you can probably guess who came out on top in the 1v1 contest.

2019 Mercedes-AMG G 63

  • 4.0-liter biturbo V-8
  • 577 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque
  • Nine-speed automatic transmission
  • Zero to 60 in 4.5 seconds
  • Starts at $145,500

2019 Suzuki Jimny 4x4

  • 1.5-liter four-cylinder
  • 100 horsepower and 96 pound-feet of torque
  • Five-speed manual (or four-speed auto) transmission
  • Zero to 60 in 12 seconds per Autoblog
  • Starts at $16,958

Now, clearly, the Jimny never stood a chance when pitted in a solo tug-of-war against the G-Wagen and was dominated in epic fashion. But, to keep things interesting, the carwow crew decided to raise the stakes for the final round and pitted three Suzuki Jimnys against one Mercedes-AMG G63.

At least the Jimnys got to walk away with a tiny shred of dignity, because it would've been pretty damn sad if three of these couldn't put away a single G3. Though, to be fair, the 2019 G-Wagen is more than eight times the price of the Jimny, so you kind of get what you way for with both vehicles. And, also to be fair, it's not like playing tug of war in an open field is what you typically do with a newly purchased car.
