"I Ruined His Day," Says Biker After Running Over Snake

"Snake came out of the grass and I ruined his day."

That was YouTuber Gas Rubber Steel's simple description to the above video showing the biker running over a snake on his motorcycle. In his defense, the motorcyclist couldn't really do much to stop himself from hitting the slithering reptile. The thing pretty much came out of nowhere. Yet, being a compassionate guy and all, the biker clearly didn't feel all that great about accelerating at the exact wrong moment.

"Oops! Poor guy," the biker says, before adding what we were all thinking. "That f***** him up."

But wait! The snake lived to slither another day! After swinging back around to examine the damage, the motorcyclist discovered that the snake somehow survived getting seemingly smushed.

"He's alright, holy shit," the surprised motorcyclist says, again, succinctly reiterating what all of us watching thought in that moment.

Now, after watching the snake's miraculous recovery, I felt pretty good about how everything turned out. But, then I scrolled down and read this top comment from a YouTube commenter, and let me tell you folks, this thing had me SHOOK.

"My Granny used to tell me that if you step on a snake and it survives, it chases you back home and gets under your pillow. The moment you sleep, it takes revenge. I didn't sleep for 2 nights once."

Yikes! That's some bone-chilling stuff right there. I don't know if any of y'all had grannys who used to tell you wild myths like that to keep you awake at night, but if you did, you took those tales SERIOUSLY. No matter how outlandish it sounded.

All I gotta say is that I hope Gas Rubber Steel has been sleeping with one eye open. I know I would.
