In 1931, seventeen year-old Bob Shotwell wanted a car, but his father couldn't afford to buy one for him. So, with the knowledge he'd have to build one of his own, he and his father visited junkyards all over, scrounging old Ford Model A pieces, sheet metal, and a four cylinder Indian motorcycle, and the three-wheeled Shotwell was born. The old roadster was driven over 150,000 miles in total, before Jay and his team rebuilt it.
