After buying a completely thrashed, beaten up Lotus Esprit--one from the generation which McLaren designer Peter Stevens improved upon, Ritte Bicycle designer Spencer Canon saw a special opportunity with his dream car, saying, "...that gave me permission--in my mind--to do a few things to it that the original designer wouldn't be upset with...hopefully."
